| The Islamic Republic of Iran has already established taxi services, banks, hospitals and sea-side resorts for the exclusive use of women. Now parks are also on the agenda. Though such parks were first thought of only a few years ago, they already exist in Boroujerd, Qom, Esphahan, Shiraz, Mashad, and Arak. |

| Shahrzad News- Azadeh Nazari- Many Iranians want to emigrate, but for some it remains an unattainable dream. Those who do make the attempt can expect much hardship on the way. Some travel overland to save money, taking many months, and others never reach their destination, or even die in the attempt. A few years ago, the remains of twelve girls and boys were found drowned in Sarajevo waters. |

About the English section of Shahrzad News
The primary focus of Shahrzad News is its Farsi language website. This section in English is compiled each week and includes summaries of a selection of articles that have been published in Farsi. Each week, Shahrzad News chooses the most important issue regarding Iran and/or women. Selected items are then rewritten, summarised and translated into English for non-Iranian readers. While it is not possible to translate all of the Farsi content into English, we are able to offer about five percent of our Farsi content to English language readers. |
